Ibrahem “Abe” Hamadeh is just another GOP liar.

Like a long list of Republicans before him such as Rafeal “Ted” Cruz, Nimrata “Nikki” Haley, and Piyush “Bobby” Jindal, just to name a few, Ibrahem Jamal Hamadeh chooses to go by his adopted Americanized name of Abe. We’ll let you ponder what it says about the Republican party and their voters that so many of their non-Caucasian candidates choose to do this. However, his name change is the perhaps the least of Hamadeh’s deceptions.

Hamadeh has also used deception to falsely inflate his campaigns fundraising numbers to gain an advantage over his Republican challengers in the GOP primary for Attorney General. Being a relatively unknown with little experience as a prosecutor (more on that in a bit) Hamadeh played a completely unethical financial trick. Having only raised around a miniscule $62,000 Hamadeh’s campaign received a $1,000,000 loan from his brother Waseem about a week before the Federal Election Commission June reporting deadline. After his financial report for the quarter was filed, Hamadeh’s campaign immediately paid the loan back, but continued to advertise that they had raised $1,062,579. It was only after pulling off this successful deception to make it appear that he was out fundraising his Republican challengers, that Hamadeh received former president Trump’s endorsement. In response to his to his deceit US congressman Paul Gosar stated “if full disclosure to President Trump was made of the actual cash on hand balance then this is no big deal, but still unusual. But if not, it could be seen as misleading.” Again, we’ll let you ruminate on what it says about you when a person as vile as Paul Gosar is questioning the ethics of your actions.

As a political unknown it was clear that Hamadeh’s experience would come into question during his campaign to be elected Arizona Attorney General. To meet this challenge Hamadeh simply chose to lie. He lied about the length of career with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, and he lied about the number of felony cases he has prosecuted. Hamadeh claims he has over four years of service with the Maricopa County Attorney’s office when reality he has less than three and he only handled a grand total of 32 cases, 9 of which were for probation violations, and none his cases ever went to trial. Simply put, the man who claims to be qualified to be Arizona’s Attorney General and supervise over 400 attorneys, 1,000 employees, and a $61 million budget while protecting the citizens of Arizona from crime and fraud, has never stood in front of a jury.

Furthermore, Hamadeh is currently under federal investigation by a Department of Defense court martial for breaking laws relating to military and civilian authority. You see Hamadeh is in the Army Reserve and in layman’s terms military code states that members of the armed forces may not use their status as a soldier to gain political support. Hamadeh has violated this code on more than one occasion by wearing his military uniform and referring to his rank and status in campaign advertising material without posting the proper disclaimers and by using pictures of himself in uniform as the primary graphic in political advertising.

Abe Hamadeh is using the same playbook as the rest of the Trump backed Arizona GOP candidates, lies, deceptions, and false narratives. Abe Hamadeh has chosen to be dishonest and ethical throughout his campaign, we cannot expect anything different if he becomes Arizona’s Attorney General. This is why we must elect Kris Mayes this November!!
