Debbie Lesko says NO to our troops.

In her most recent mailer Arizona congress woman Debbie Lesko highlighted her support for those men and women in uniform who serve our country every day. She has consistently made support for our military a focal point of her campaign. However, when it comes to actual support for members of the armed services Debbie Lesko’s voting record paints a different picture.

In the last month Lesko has voted NO on both bills that came to a vote on the House floor that would provide support for service members. First, Lesko voted NO on the passage of the Guard and Reserve Parity Act of 2021. This bill would have expanded eligibility for educational assistance under the GI Bill for all post 9/11 National Guard and Reserve armed forces members. Lesko voted to deny these troops that assistance. Secondly, Lesko voted NO on the Ensuring Veteran Smooth Transition Act. This bill would have provided automatic enrollment into the VA healthcare system for all service members upon the completion of their military service. It would have given veterans prompt and easy access to the healthcare services that they needed eliminating the red tape involved in registering for healthcare services and providing veterans with information about the system including information on how to opt out if they so desired.

Once again Lesko’s actions have proven to be in stark contrast to her words. This behavior continues to demonstrate that Debbie Lesko does not utilize her position in congress to work for what is best for the citizens of the United States, especially those that we owe the most, but only for the interests of herself, her sociopathic leader, and the corporations that fund her campaigns. The people of Arizona and the people of the United States deserve better. Let’s work together to vote Debbie Lesko out of office in 2022.
